First InterWinterCup competition in Poland!

On 25 – 28 of January, a first InterWinterCup competition took place in Czarna Gora, Poland. Over 40 participants from Italy, Slovenia and Poland participated in the alpine skiing competition.

One of the project’s acitvities are related to the organization of the alpine skiing competition in the project’s partners countries. Not only the organization’s memeber have a chance to exchange practices, but also it is a chance to organize a competiiton for students from particular countries. Over 40 students from three different countries – Poland, Italy and Slovenia – met in Czarna Góra Skiing resort to train and then compete in the alpine skiing competition. The competion has been also connected to the regual Winter Cup event in Poland – overall, over 90 participants took part. Both slalom and giant slalom giant were planned, although due to the weather conditions, only slalom took place.

The event has been also a chance for a round table event to discuss the alpine skiing in the university sport context. It has been a great chance to hear the opinion of students and their feedback. Project partners took an opportunity to organize also a project meeting and discuss ongoing matters and next steps.
